Wondering When

from Here It Is by Tay and the JangLahDahs

/
  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

    Here It Is:
    A Chronicle
    An aural collection of classics
    A great communal Effort.
A Labor of Love over half a decade.
A voice to intensity, anxiety and disaster
    Production in the Present
    Post-Production of the Past
    Evidence of what was,
A Birth as well as A Death
    Solidified within this book
    A window to the souls
    what love created:
Here we are, and Here we e’er will be.

Forever grateful to each individual involved in the making of this album.
Here It is: is dedicated to you and the legacy of Ruben Gonzales.

about

…How much longer?

Here It Is: Wondering When.

The song that came out of getting stuck in shelter-in-place
in the room of family antiquity on a hot pink First Act
Where the-last-pawn-shop-of-all-pawn-shops, Drum Kit was placed.
As a Texan, When in Texas, you let out the country.

We spent time writing a song about all the classic topics with ease;
Cowboys, Heartbreak, Beer, A Hangover, Weevils, and, of course, a Train.
We chronicled our experience riding together
on the Coastline Starlight from Emeryville to Canada.

lyrics

Wondering When

Streetlights light up the night
Waiting for the train in Emeryville
Long hours ahead to get to crossing lines
To the heav’n of Whistler-ville

Bends and Valleys and Sights Unseen
Hanging Bridges and Talking Trees
Tunnels they roll around the bend
Here we are Wondering When

Get Stir Crazy Snack Bar Screaming now
5 minute smoke break in between
Talking with strangers over cards and meals
Sitting in the sight-seeing car of dreams
To see the bends and Valleys and Sights Unseen
Hanging Bridges and Talking Trees
Tunnels roll through the mountain bend
Here we are, Wondering When

Praise Him, Lord Jesus, In their family car
Tour guide is talking about 1984
Portland to Seattle: Stuck groups on the bus
To cross the lines of Heav’n above

To see the bends and valleys and sights unseen
Hanging Bridges and Talking Trees
Tunnels Roll through the mountain bend
Here we are wondering when. Choo Choo!
